Car is completely stock, no aftermarket alarm. And the factory key fob (with correct FCC ID) was working prior to disconnecting battery to service alternator. I have tried all sorts of frequencies for inserting and removing the key, from 1sec in to 1sec out, all the way up to fairly rapid. To my understanding the hazards should flash after step 2 on your list. I cannot get mine to flash, indicating the vehicle is in programming mode.
